on a quest for my doctorate in education - this blog is a space to dive into ed tech, online communities, fandom and how they can all benefit this and the next generation of students.

Objects may be {fill in the blank} than they appear

I used to teach digital media campaigns for the Art Institute of California and most of my students were in marketing or graphic design. The majority of them were interested in following my footsteps and forging their own way as an entrepreneur, consultant, and instructor, all of those hyphens, and commas.

So I decided to dedicate one entire lecture on Client Management and provide them with some of the best practices in taking in a prospective client, managing a client, as well as what needs to be communicated from the very beginning of a project, what to expect, etc.

The specific lecture was presented on Google Slides, which was easy for me to update since I was in between updating the slide deck at work, at home, and at the school. Thank goodness the platform was cloud-based. Within the Google slides, I incorporated a myriad of learning objects since I provided the link of the Google Slide presentation to all of them for reference. The objects included YouTube videos they could reference, tools they could link out to to use later on, platforms, and other resources. They also included articles with guiding, essential questions to ask digital marketing clients, links and examples of utilizing the following platforms: Google Forms, Canva, Wordpress, Squarespace, Google Sheets, and Gmail.

I’ll link it here, too, for your reference, reader:
