Dr. Rina C. Dakanay, an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology, is a digital marketing strategist, educator, and consultant specializing in collaborative learning, social media, fandom studies, and digital storytelling. With nearly two decades of experience, she helps higher education institutions, businesses, and non-profits enhance their instructional strategies, develop engaging learning experiences, and amplify their brands through innovative digital engagement.
Her doctoral research explores the intersections of collaborative learning, social media, fandom participation, and digital storytelling, offering organizations fresh insights into learner engagement, community building, and interactive education. Dr. Dakanay consults with institutions and organizations seeking to integrate collaborative learning methodologies into their curriculum, corporate training, or community-based programs. She provides expert guidance on instructional design, digital pedagogy, and content strategy to create impactful learning environments.
A passionate educator, Dr. Dakanay shares her expertise in digital marketing, social media strategy, and emerging media trends. A proud first-generation Pilipina-American, she has taught as an Adjunct Instructor at the Art Institute of California and Claremont Lincoln University, and was part of the Claremont Lincoln University team recognized as the AMA Higher Ed Marketing Team of the Year in 2019. She holds a B.S. from UC Irvine and an MBA from the University of Redlands.
